This course, a continuation of RT122, will provide the students with an orientation to a new affiliate hospital. Emphasis will be on the performance of radiographic procedures in area hospital radiology departments, under the guidance of a clinical coordinator or LRT (Licensed Radiologic Technologists). Students will perform radiology procedures as covered in RT110, Radiographic Procedures I, RT111, Radiographic Procedures II, and RT210 Advanced Radiographic Procedures I. Students observe technologists positioning patients for various radiologic examinations. Students will perform radiologic procedures under direct supervision of an LRT. Students will be evaluated on patient care, principles of safety and radiation protection to the patient, technologists and other ancillary staff. Students must adhere to all hospital policies and regulations concerning patient's rights. Hours of lab per week: 24.
