This course provides a foundation in the theory and practice of management in the administrative office. Emphasis is on basic concepts, problem solving, and communications. E-mail, the Internet and Presentation Graphics (PowerPoint) will be utilized. In addition, issues related to staffing, productivity, job analysis, and integrating automated services is studied. Some assignments simulate on-the-job experience or be completed through study of administrative offices in the community. Prerequisite: CS105, equivalent experience, or permission of instructor.
