This course will survey the forms of energy that are available for use in our modern society. The environmental impacts as well as the continued availability of each form of energy will be studied. Students will study what ways we use energy and how this impacts the environment. Diff erent forms of energy will be studied, including fossil fuels, solar energy, wind energy, geothermal energy, alternatives to fossil fuels, and other renewable sources. Students will learn about their own personal energy use as well as that of our country and other countries. A library component is included.
