This course introduces students to the key biological and chemical principles that apply to all living things. It continues with the description and function of the components of the cell leading into the structure and function of the human organ systems. Diseases pertaining to each system and their prevention are discussed. Emphasis is also placed on human genetics, human behaviour and learning, human evolution, and human population increase and its impact on the dynamic balance of the biosphere. A library component is included.
