Prerequisites: ME 201, SC 130, and HT 211, with a C or better. This course provides instruction in the classification and coding of ambulatory care encounters using Physicians Common Procedural Terminology (CPT-4) and HCPCS Level II (National) codes. Using workbook exercises and medical reports, students learn to accurately assign CPT codes for all occasions of service and encounters in a physician practice or outpatient care setting. 3 Credit Hours
