Prerequisite: CS 125, FM 102, FM 209, FM 220 and MK 201. Topics in Fashion Merchandising will provide the student with in-depth knowledge of important and current topics in fashion merchandising. Topics to be discussed may include, but are not limited to, gaining an international perspective and framework for managing in diff erent legal, social, cultural and economic environments for the distribution of consumer goods worldwide. Eff ective management, strategic planning, marketing, operations, human resources, and fi nancial management across borders will be examined. The increasing infl uence of electronic commerce and the impact of culture on planning, organizing, leading and controlling will be considered through case study and simulation.
