This course is designed for students with advanced aural and reading/ writing profi ciency, with the goal of entering full-time academic study the following semester. Attention is given to increasing vocabulary in academic content areas and to providing the student with the opportunity to practice the critical reading, writing, listening and speaking skills needed in higher education, with a review of grammar based on individual needs. The goal is to develop fl uency and student confi dence in all forms of English communication through a variety of student centered activities and an individual grammar log. Credit from this course may not be applied to a degree or certifi cate program.
