Prerequisite: PS 103, ED 103 and one additional ED course, or OCCS Lead Teacher Qualifi ed. A course designed for students who have had experience in children's programs. The course will emphasize the role of the supervisor or mentor in human resource management. Leadership theories and skills will be explored as they relate to working with diverse populations. The principles of staff supervision and performance appraisals as well as staff training and development will be studied. Collaboration with outside resources including parents, social service, and health care professionals in the context of children's programs will be examined.
