Pre/Co-requisite: EN 101. This course analyzes representative comedies of William Shakespeare, often considered the greatest writer in the English language. Biographical detail and background about Elizabethan England will be included where appropriate. Plays likely to be studied include The Taming of the Shrew, The Comedy of Errors, The Tempest, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Troilus and Cressida, Measure for Measure, and Twelfth Night. A library component is included.
