Methods of teaching in programs for the emotionally disturbed and neurologically impaired child. How existing materials may be modified and new original materials and techniques can developed will be investigated. Principles of behavior management will be discussed in the context of curriculum planning and teaching methodology. Emphasis will be on implementation of teaching strategies based upon individual assessment of learning needs, the use of resources to ensure the least restrictive environment. A hands-on approach to develop materials. Prerequisite: PSY 24 or Department permission
