(Formerly known as: Sign 290AD) Current or previous enrollment in a sign or interpreting course. A skills class designed to introduce Sign Language and Interpreting students to the principles and techniques of the American (fingerspelling) Manual Alphabet. Fingerspelling is an important ingredient in conversing with deaf people. Expressive and receptive techniques will be emphasized. This course may be taken 4 times. Lecture & lab. Pass/no pass only. Transferable to CSU. Offered fall semester only.
