Description:
-
Acquaints students with stagecraft elements such as set and lighting design, sound, costuming, public relations and marketing. Acting, stage management, and assistant directing are other disciplines to be explored. Those involved in this class should look forward to staging a live production near the end of the semester. The expanded format allows for more intricate design creation. So, too, the level of difficulty of work produced will elevate. Those enrolled in Production for the Stage I are encouraged to also participate in the Advanced Acting class, if it is offered. (4 hours studio required.) Satisfies the Fine Arts requirement. Course may be repeated for a maximum of eight credits. (Formerly COMM 205: Play Production.)
