Prerequisite: CHEM 1 or 2A and BIOL 2 with a "C" grade or better. Introduction to bacteria and parasitic forms of protozoa, helminths, and fungi. The examination of morphological, physiological, and epidemiological characteristics of these organisms and of immune response produced by their hosts.
