Lec-3, field trips A survey of Western Art from the sixth to the eighteenth centuries. The course will begin with the Roman era as an introduction, and continue to the Neo-Classical period. Art will be discussed from both a critical and a historical perspective, with regard to formal visual elements of style and the social context of the societies, values, and ideas that gave birth to Western art.
