Lec-6, lab-6, field trips Prereq.: AUTO 50 or pass Challenge Test Repeat: max. 24 units Course focus is on maintenance and troubleshooting including the use of analog and digital volt ohm meters, digital storage oscilloscopes, scan tools, and engine analyzers, vacuum and pressure gauges in the diagnosis and repair of modern automotive ignition, fuel, and emission, systems. Preparation for National Certification (ASE A8 and L-1 Engine Performance) Examinations, students become familiar with trade practices in the testing and replacement of ignition system components, vehicle fuel and emission systems testing, component testing and replacement.
