Emphasis on the geologic history of the area as reflected by present geologic features. Localities include: Yosemite National Park; Lassen National Park; Mono Basin; Lake Tahoe and vicinity; northern and southern Mother Lode regions; Central Coast Ranges and San Andreas Fault; Coast Range north and south of San Francisco Bay; and special areas.
