Operation and care of microcomputers, printers, and transcribing machines. Use of dictionaries, drug reference books, and other reference tools. Study of the different types of medical reports and formats. Medical transcription mechanics such as word usage, sentence grammar, punctuation, compound words, and commonly confused or misspelled medical terms. Transcription of a variety of introductory general medicine reports. CSU
