P/NP available PREREQ.: HLTH 74, 75, 72 (for Drug & Alcohol Cert. students only); HLTH 64, 67, 91C (for HIV/STI Cert. students only) Skill development will focus on communication skills and techniques used for client-centered health advising, intake and data collection processes, documentation and referrals, with ethical considerations regarding the scopes of practice and competency for clinicians and agencies. Students will develop the skills needed to work in behavioral health agencies, including community settings, and develop appropriate strategies in a holistic process of managing cases for diverse populations.
