P/NP available This study of Pacific Islanders' migrations to the United States mainland includes a survey of the history, culture, and development of Hawai'i; plus Hawai'i's role as a way station for their migration to the mainland. The indigenous cultural heritage and United States immigration experience of Pacific Islanders from Samoa, Tonga, Tahiti, Micronesia, Melanesia, Palau, New Zealand, Cook Islands, Marquesans, and the U.S. Territory of Guam will be assessed.
