The course content will cover well-traveled pilgrim roads, saints, relics, sacred time and space, and many holy places of the world, including Rome, Jerusalem, Benares, and Mecca. The secularization of pilgrimage in the 20th century will also be included. For those students interested in history, mysticism, art history, and the great religions of the world, this course will be an enlightening experience. CSU/UC
