Description:
This course is not ordinarily counted in the Associate in Arts degree. This course provides the required training and experience to serve in a supervisory capacity in open water diving activities and to act as an underwater guide or instructional assistant. Successful student will be qualified to apply for divemaster membership in the National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI). Nationally recognized certification as a rescue diver, as well as current certification in first aid/CPR and at least 25 logged dives are requirements for enrollment in this course and will be verified by the instructor at the first class. Students will be required to obtain a diving medical exam prior to starting water activities. Certification as an oxygen provider will be required by the end of the course.
