This course is not ordinarily counted in the Associate in Arts degree. The course provides the basic diver with additional training in physics, physiology, dive tables use, salvage calculations, dive planning, and the enhancement of skills to attain an advanced certification. Nationally recognized certification as an openwater scuba diver is a requirement for enrollment in this course and will be verified by the instructor at the first class.
