The selected works and authors are studied from the point of view of their contributions to universal literature. Emphasis is placed on figures like: Isabel Allende, Jorge Luis Borges, Alejo Carpentier, José Donoso, Laura Esquivel, Carlos Fuentes, Gabriel García Márquez, René Marqués, Gabriela MistraOctavio Paz, and others.
