Prerequisites: ENG* K101 and MAT* K137 or higher and CHE* K111 or higher and BIO* K121 or BIO* K155 or BIO* K145 required, all courses passed with a "C" grade or better. This course is an ecological study of marine organisms and their environments that includes estuaries, tidal marshes, rocky shores, coral reefs, hydrothermal vents and the open ocean. The interaction of plants and animals with each other and their physical environment will be stressed. Lab fieldwork involves off campus sites to study local marine environments.
