Prerequisite: ENG* K100 eligibility or permission of instructor. This course will look at Dr. Montessori's philosophy, her history, and method. The preparation for learning of the child is accomplished through the use of creative, hands-on materials and includes the study of the concepts of the Absorbent Mind, the Sensitive Periods, and the Developmental Stages among other concepts. This course does not require prior approval of the program coordinator.
