(Formerly known as: Physical Anthropology Lab, ANTHR121) Prerequisites: Anthroplogy G120 An introductory laboratory course in which scientific methodology is taught and used to explore/experiment with topics found in introductory physical anthropology and primate evolution courses. Laboratory exercises include the observation and interpretation of: natural selection and evolution; Mendelian, molecular and population genetics; non-human primate taxonomy and behavior; fossil evidence of hominid evolution; forensic anthropology; and human physical variation. Lab. Optional pass/no pass or grade. Transferable to CSU; UC.
