1 semester, 3 credits This course develops an awareness of the role of the accounting information system (AIS) in achieving organizational objectives. It explores, in detail, several typical AIS application subsystems, such as revenue/receivables, purchases/ payables, inventory, cash receipts/disbursements, and financial planning/reporting.The concepts of risk and control are introduced in the context of the AIS. Prerequisite: ACC 301 or permission of instructor.
