1 semester, 4 credits Focus on the biology of neurons-their structure, biology, signaling mechanisms, and how they are affected by psychoactive drugs and disease. An emphasis will be placed upon the cellular and molecular approaches to neurobiology. The laboratory will examine the regulation of neuronal activity and development through the use of computer simulations, animal models, and modern research methods. Prerequisite: BIO 200.
