Fall Lab fee will be required. This course is designed to provide knowledge of the role of the dental hygienist in the specialities and in restorative dentistry. A study of common dental materials used in various office settings is included. Laboratory sessions consist of exercises in dental hygiene functional procedures, including the manipulation and utilization of dental materials. Successful completion of both didactic and laboratory requirements for this course is necessary for continuation in the college's Dental Hygiene program. Open only to matriculated Dental Hygiene students. Prerequisites: DHYG 121, Clinical Dental Hygiene I. Corequisites: DHYG 231, Clinical Dental Hygiene II.
