Fall Lab fee will be required. This interactive course introduces students to the basic principles and practices of preventive dental hygiene. Emphasiswill be on the laboratory application of the basic principles of instrumentation, toothmorphology, occlusion, infection control and professional conduct. Students will develop competence in patient assessment techniques includingmedical/ dental history, recognition and examination of orofacial structures and hard tissue dental findings. Open only to matriculated Dental Hygiene students. Corequisites: DHYG 105, Tooth Morphology & Occlusion.
