Provides a systematic method for conducting a physical examination of the adult client. Seminars, audiovisual materials and practice are integrated to enhance the development of skills in conducting the examination using specialized instruments and techniques; and in documenting findings. Instruments necessary for conducting the examination are provided. (Offered in the Spring Semester only.) Prerequisite: NUR 44 or (R.N.) Registered Nurse license; or (LPN) Licensed Practical Nurse license; or Nursing students who have completed a course in Anatomy and Physiology and a course in an acute nursing care setting; with permission of Nursing Department.
