This course continues to develop critical thinking skills required to apply fundamental knowledge and technical abilities necessary to provide nursing care for adult clients with complex medical and surgical problems in acute health care settings. Content will be presented using the conceptual framework of the nursing process and Maslow's Hierarchy of Basic Human Needs. With guidance, the student will apply the nursing process to prioritize nursing care of adult clients with complex needs. Clinical practice in a variety of acute care settings is provided. A clinical failure results in failure for the course. Prerequisite: PNR 22.
