Development of skills and knowledge essential for a person to qualify as a nonsurf lifeguard. Successful completion of this course qualifies student for American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certificate. Students should expect to spend approximately $30 to cover the cost of certification. Prerequisite: Ability to swim 500 yards, employing front crawl, breaststroke, elementary backstroke and sidestroke.
