Problems of making illustrations and the direct relationship between technique, concept and execution. Practical aesthetic problems involved in illustrating work done in class can be used in a portfolio. Students will prepare comps and finished art work ready for reproduction. Assignments teach the student to solve problems of interpretation for children's books, fiction and non-fiction, newspapers and magazines. Students are helped to develop their own styles. Exploration of these concepts on the computer. Prerequisite: ART 21 or by departmental permission.
