This course covers the basic concepts and applications of fluid systems including essentials of fluid properties, fluid statics, Bernouli's theorem, fluid measurements, and losses due to flow in pipes. Laboratory work deals with models and operational systems as well as exercises involving the underlying principles of hydraulics and pneumatic mechanisms. Prerequisite: "C" or better in PHY101. Co-requisite:MTH 114. Laboratory fee.
