Provides further study in surgical assisting and postoperative care and anesthesiology. Emphasis is placed on assisting in surgical procedures and administering and monitoring anesthesia. Topics include: surgical assisting, anesthesia administration, anesthesia monitoring, special equipment, and dentistry. Practical experience will be obtained through rotations at veterinary clinical sites. Field trips to satisfy competencies may be arranged and may occur on days other than scheduled class times.
