Topics include: discussions about job description, daily schedule, salary, benefits, special skills required, advanced certification required, and the possibility of advancement with veterinary technicians working in different aspects of veterinary technology. Career choices may include small animal medicine, exotic animal medicine, large animal medicine, biomedical research, pharmaceutical sales, emergency medicine, specialty or internal medicine, academia, government positions, shelter medicine, and others depending on the availability of speakers.
