(Prerequisite: CHM 192) This course covers analytical applications of and basic discussions of the theory of ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy, atomic spectroscopy, gas chromatography and high performance liquid chromatography. This course begins to develop expertise in techniques involving the operation of many common laboratory instruments. Samples will be analyzed using instrumental methods.
