Prerequisite: NURS 2030 and NURS 2040; taken concurrently with NURS 2050 This course focuses on the role of the nurse as a member of a profession and encompasses current trends in nursing such as emergency preparedness, fiscal accountability, and political awareness. Beginning management and leadership concepts, and the transition into graduate nursing practice are explored. Additionally, analysis of ethical behaviors and the role of accountability to the profession by following legal regulation for nursing practice will be incorporated. The student will gain insight into educational behaviors that support lifelong learning and professional development.
