Prerequisite: COMS 2141 This course covers in detail the operation and configuration of switches and routers so that Virtual LANs and Extended Access Control Lists can be created. Segmentation of networks by bridges, switches, and routers is a significant part of this class. Students will also explore half and full-duplex Ethernet, Routing Protocols (especially IGRP) and IPX.
