This course is designed to prepare the student to apply and understand the basics of network administration and management using Novell NetWare. It is the second course in the Network Engineering Technology curriculum. Emphasis will be placed on the fundamentals of Novell NetWare including network connection, file systems, security, login file, user environment, managing the server, NDS security and management, printing, login scripts, menus, backup, and messaging. A working knowledge of network fundamental, DOS, and Windows is required. Lab fee required. Prerequisite: CET 1486C or CET 1485.
