Prerequisite: AHEA 1140, SECS 1001 with C or better, TECH 1140 (or ENGL 1101), SECS 2210 recommended This course involves transcription of medical communications from voice Dictaphone using computers and transcribers. Terminology used in anatomy and physiology through symptomatology, pharmacology and diagnostic terms is taught and monitored for accuracy of document preparation. The importance of medical ethics and proper medical document formatting are emphasized for medical reports and patient records.
