Prerequisites: HSE 201; SOC 114. 3 credits formerly HS 216 Gerocounseling This course will provide an overview of the role(s) of a gerocounselor as well as the nature of the client groups and particular development period. Different philosophies and modalities related to gerocounseling, including individual, group, and family gerocounseling, will be covered. The focus will be on the process of assessment and goal setting.
