Prerequisite: CST 252, CSC 108, or CSC 207. 4 credits formerly CMP 225 XML for the World Wide Web The course builds on students' knowledge of HTML and JavaScript in the rich world of XML. Topics covered include creating wellformed and valid XML documents, Document Type Definitions (DTDs), namespaces, entities, XML Schemas, formatting using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and Extensible Stylesheet Language (XSL) and transformations using XSL Transformations (XSLT). 3 hours lecture; 2 hours of laboratory.
