Prerequisite: Successful completion of ENG 101 with "C" or better and CJS 101 or CJS105. 3 credits formerly CJ 225 Criminal Court Process A comprehensive analysis of the role of criminal courts in the U.S., the structure and organization of the criminal court system, and how criminal cases are processed from arrest through sentencing. The course will examine the key participants in the processing of criminal cases in court: judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, support court personnel, probation officers, and witnesses.
