3 credits (fall) Prerequisites: CJ247 or permission of the instructor. This course will examine the nature of the public policy process from policy formation through policy termination. Specific areas covered will be public policy and crime, public policy and criminal justice trends in public policies. The objective of this course will be to give students an opportunity to analyze and apply a particular policy to current problems or issues in criminal justice. "Hands-On"experience in analysis and implementation will be afforded the student.
