This course introduces the student to the relationship between the engine, clutch, transmission, drive axle, and differential. Organized learning experiences are provided in the operation, service, and maintenance of mechanical and hydraulic clutches, manual and automatic transmissions, transaxles, and differentials. Automatic transmission and transaxle operation and minor service is included. Lab fee required. Prerequisite: AER 0011C or permission of instructor.
