This course deals with foundational philo-sophical theories and problems in ethics. In addition to meta-ethical topics, students will study major ethical theories (Bentham, Mill, Kant, Aristotle, Rawls, etc.) and explore im-portant contemporary moral problems (e.g., war, animal rights, euthanasia, abortion, capi-tal punishment, etc.).
