This course provides an overview of the moral and ethical issues impacting industry professionals. This course will focus on the importance of both personal and social responsibility in the sports management arena, including the processes and values that exist in today's sports industry. An introduction to the foundations of the legal system and those issues that are specific in the sports industry will be discussed. Topics will include needs assessment and facility feasibility, planning, promotion and operational effectiveness, and risk management. 3 credits.
