Prerequisite: Eligibility for ENG 101. 3 credits This course offers a comprehensive exploration of creative imagination in music from a multicultural, global perspective, including the examination of Western music in the context of musical practices throughout the world. Students also will explore the elements of music, learn musical terminology, and discover the sounds of instruments from many world cultures. No previous musical experience is required.
